Verge Path Field is based in Tokushima-shi, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan (telephone: +81 88-625-7934). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Products and Services
Verge Path Field offers smart lock and access control solutions for residential and commercial properties. Our services include: security consultation and site assessment; supply of smart locks, keypad entry units, biometric readers, door controllers and associated hardware; professional installation and wiring by qualified technicians; system programming and user access setup; and ongoing technical support and firmware update management.
We primarily serve Tokushima-shi and the wider Tokushima Prefecture. Coverage in neighbouring prefectures is available on request — please confirm availability at your location before submitting an enquiry.
3. Quotations and Orders
All quotations issued by Verge Path Field are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless a different period is stated in writing. Quotations are prepared based on information provided at the time of enquiry; final pricing may be revised after an on-site assessment if the physical installation conditions — such as door thickness, wiring configuration or network infrastructure — differ materially from those described. We will communicate any adjustment before work begins.
A contract is formed when we send you a written order confirmation. We reserve the right to decline an enquiry — for example, where the property falls outside our service area or where the installation environment raises safety concerns.
4. Installation and Access
You agree to provide our technicians with safe and unobstructed access to the relevant doors, entry points and wiring areas on the agreed installation date. If access cannot be provided and we are not notified at least 48 hours in advance, a rescheduling fee may apply. All installation work is carried out in accordance with Japanese electrical regulations and each manufacturer's installation guidelines. You are responsible for ensuring that existing door hardware, wiring and network connectivity are in a condition that allows safe installation.
5. Software, Firmware and Remote Access
Smart lock systems supplied by Verge Path Field may include manufacturer apps, cloud connectivity and firmware that is updated remotely by the manufacturer. We facilitate initial setup and configuration but are not responsible for changes made by the manufacturer to their software platforms or remote access services after installation. You are advised to review the end-user licence agreement of any manufacturer app used to control your smart lock system.
6. Payment Terms
Payment for supply and installation services is due in full within 14 days of the invoice date unless a payment schedule has been agreed in writing. Support retainers are payable at the start of each period. We accept bank transfer and major credit cards. Overdue payments may accrue interest in accordance with applicable Japanese law. We reserve the right to suspend support services if payment remains outstanding for more than 30 days past the due date.
7. Warranties
Verge Path Field provides a 12-month workmanship warranty on all installation work. Manufacturer warranties on smart locks, biometric readers and control hardware vary by product and will be specified in your quotation and order confirmation. Warranties are void if hardware has been modified, physically damaged through misuse, or if firmware has been altered by anyone other than the manufacturer's authorised update process.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on vergepathfield.com — including product descriptions, installation guides, comparison charts, imagery and the overall site design — is owned by or licensed to Verge Path Field and is protected by Japanese copyright law. You may download and print content for personal, non-commercial reference. Reproduction, redistribution or commercial use without prior written consent is not permitted. The Verge Path Field name, logo and associated marks may not be used without permission.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Japanese law, Verge Path Field's liability in connection with the supply of products or services is limited to the amount paid by you for the specific goods or services giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including loss arising from a lock malfunction, a failed remote access event, or delay in completing an installation — unless caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be referred first to good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation within 30 days of written notice, it shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan — specifically the court with jurisdiction over Tokushima-shi, Tokushima Prefecture, unless another court has mandatory jurisdiction under Japanese law.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website or services following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For changes that materially affect existing service agreements, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected clients directly.
